New 2,800-home development near St Neots gets green light
Plans for a huge new 2,800-home development near St Neots have been given the go-ahead. The Wintringham development will bring two new primary schools, health facilities and 63,000 sqm of business space to the area.
Developer Urban&Civic were given planning permission in principle in March to build the new community of 2,800 homes. But the company needed to sign a agreement to give money to the local area, known as a section 106 agreement, and a legal framework to get the green light. After being approved this month (November 5), the first works for the homes have already begun. The company aims to have the first residents living on site by the end of 2019.
